Treasurer's Duties
Joe will provide guidance and help whoever steps up. Generally this doesn't take a great deal of time, but it is important to be diligent and accurate. Joe has also maintained the Members in Good Standing roster and was diligent in sending out renewal letters each year. - Elections
Fred Mervine has volunteered to continue serving as President and Phyllis Mervine has volunteered to continue as Secretary. Judy Poplawski and Monica Quiroz Rivera have volunteered to be Members at large of the Executive Committee and we need one more person. They can be nominated in January. - Assembly District Election Meeting
Val explained that people meet every 2 years to select delegates to the state convention. You can volunteer to be a candidate (deadline Dec. 15) but it's important to vote. You have to register by Jan. 12 and they will send you a ballot. It is important to vote so our district is represented at the state level. Joe Wildman is on the ballot.

Val said the census made a big difference and California has a commission that will redraw the lines for districts. We can be a community of interest. To learn more about it go the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. - Projects
Fred suggested Executive Committee could help plan projects. Monica and Jackie are working with Latinos. Mike is interested in reaching out to Native Americans. - Get Involved
Val runs a class for leadership development. There are multiple slots available in local government. If you are interested in a seat on a County of Mendocino Board or Commission, please visit the Boards and Commissions section of the Board of Supervisors' page. - Future meetings
