We got into a big endorsement argument (Jeff supports Dan Djerde and wants us to endorse him--the rest of us said no endorsements where 2 Dems are running).

We'd like to step up a Facebook campaign.  Get people to like our page (MCDCC, but can also happen with the club pages).  Have someone  post GOTV messages at least twice a week, so that would be a job.

I'd like to do some LTE's, same idea.

We want to get radio stations to interview us and use that to GOTV.  Monica is going to contact a Spanish station (at least one--I don't know if we have more than one).

Ken wants to do some precinct walking to register voters.  If you get someone already registered, encourage them to vote.  I think it's a great idea, and we could do that in Ukiah, but don't want to step on Robin's toes if she's already doing that.

So out of that list the jobs are

. Write a LTE

. Post to Facebook page

.  PSA's to radio, newspapers

.  Register voters by precinct walking.

.  Swing Left (I will find out what's involved in this before that meeting.)

.  Call the club mailing lists.  This might be an club exec committee job since we may not want to let the lists out.  We can use that to encourage more volunteering mentioning the precinct walking, letters, etc.

.  Find some races that need postcards--as we did before for US House district 1.  There will be opportunities.

I thought the state party was going to run a co-ordinated campaign, but haven't heard of any such thing really happening. I'll look at the website.

I'll keep thinking on this.  I'm sure there are more things we could do, and maybe some of our club attendees will have ideas.  Main thing is to get people to volunteer and follow through.

Hopefully people will get enthusiastic .
