1. Call to order / Welcome 4:00 by Fred
  4:08 PM -- Fred called to order.
  Attendees: 7 -- Fred Mervine, Helen Sizemore, Steve Scalmanini, Peter Good, Robin Sunbeam, Gabriel Baca, Jesse Boyd
2. Revision and approval of agenda
  None heard.
3. Consider December Minutes
  We don't have minutes for December.
4. Treasurer’s Report
  Robin showed the Treasurer's Report & explained it. Certificate matured in Dec. $1K then moved to savings. $4K rolled over for another 6 months. The dinner meeting on January 8th came close to breaking even when including new memberships from it.
  1. Approve new Members
    Motion to approve 9 new members: Robin. 2nd: Gabriel. Discussion ensued. Vote: 6/0/0. Motion passed.
    Christian Lapotre & Eric Hart are excluded so far. Christian is not a registered Democrat yet. Eric might be but such isn't verifiable in MOE yet.
    Motion to accept Christian Lapotre as member when he changes parties: Robin. 2nd: Gabriel. Vote: 6/0/0. Motion passed.
5. Consent Calendar Agenda, Minutes, Treasurer's Report, New Members in Good Standing

  1. 2026 Executive Committee Elections - Ad Hoc Elections Committee The Executive Committee's slate of candidates and a list of all other candidates shall be distributed to the membership using any electronic or physical means as appropriate at least fifteen (15) days prior to the election date (January 28).

      Fred asked Jim Masten but he has a conflict on same Thursdays. He asked Leo Buc but hasn't heard back yet (and he's very busy). He'll ask Marvin Trotter. What about Roger Foote or Holly, & Theresa Staber?
  2. Membership Offering/ Volunteer Opportunities/ Standing Committees.
    - Membership Application inlandmendodems.org/Member.
      User view and admin view. How we are using this to facilitate volunteer signups
  3. Goals for 2026
    We have 7 members on this committee - my role is to make this thing work, Robin's role is to keep track of the membership & money. Peter's role is to manage volunteers. That leaves 4 Exec Committee members in need of a defined role. To make the club into an effective organization we need to set specific goals that we can achieve. Assume each member of the Exec Committee takes on the lead role for a goal, - that is a max of 4 specific goal.
    1. Local - Community outreach - e.g. MHQ at Framers' Market
    2. State - Flip District 1 Blue
    3. Other Campaigns - Postcarding, letter writing, etc
    4. Local Campaigns
    5. Grow the Party
    6. Grow the executive committee ???
      Fred showed Standing Committees Policy from the Bylaws and explained 3: Community Outreach, Elections, & Electeds Liaison.
  4. January Meeting - Sit-down dinner - Speaker Mike McGuire
    Complements to everyone who helped produce the event. It went excellently and was very energizing.

    February 12, 6:30 PM
    The speakers will be Kyle Wilson, candidate for CD-01, & Buffey Bourassa, candidate for MenCo District 3 Supervisor (who has Tom Allman's endorsement).
    (The speakers at the March meeting will be Audrey Denney & maybe John Haschak. April might be Marvin Trotter, who is considering running for the Ukiah Valley School District.)
