    2. Campaign 2024 - Kayla gave a report on a large house party planned for June 23. Kayla will send us the details. All items below are moved to Next Agenda.

      4. House parties might be the way to go. Helen and Kayla will gather and brainstorm guest speakers.
      5. The Events Committee is working on at least two fundraising events in addition to the Labor Day Picnic, to occur before October.
    3. Juan Orozco, who is on the Leadership Committee, suggested that a Latino Democratic Club would be a way to draw more Spanish Speaking members to the Democratic Party.  Pat suggested that because the requirements to become a Club are varied, a good way to start that would be to form an Ad Hoc Committee attached to one of the clubs, with the goal of forming a full-fledged Club in the future.
Fred will meet with Juan Orozco next week to discuss Latino Dem Club.
    4. Tekla: The Coast Club is doing postcarding to assist candidates in swing counties.  Susan will pass along the details.
    5. Communication with Judy Popowski and the process of endorsing candidates: Kayla spoke about the endorsement process of the Central Committee and how when IMDC supported another candidate after the fact it made her feel that the work done at the Central Committee level was for nothing. Fred responded with stating the process that was followed by IMDC and admitted to the chaotic nature of the meeting. IMDC General Meetings are open to the public and we cannot limit participation. Robin agrees with Fred. Robin does not want to feel like a rubber stamp for Central Committee. Tekla cautioned about dividing the effort because the Republican won. Get behind one person and make them who we want rather than split the vote. Tekla also suggests we limit time for public expression. Lots of discussion occurred.
