5. Chair’s Report
   
   1. Joe took the BAV to Georgia to do a Runoff Mobile Headquarters. He plans to return Jan 6 bringing with him the(political) scalps of the outgoing Georgia Senators. He needs funds. The MCDCC set up an ActBlue account for online donations and we will be doing aggressive fund raising through email, hard copy and arm twisting to make sure Joe can get to Georgia, survive, AND return! Go to mendodems.org or inlandmendodems.org to donate
      We have raised more than $5000!
      We really do need to elect the two Georgia Senators.
      Now is the time for all good Democrats to come the aid of their party!!!
      All money in excess of Joe's expenses will be donated to the two campaigns.

   1. Joe will be retiring as Treasurer this year. We need someone to volunteer to fill the office.
      Treasurer's Duties
      Discussion:
      Joe will provide guidance and help whoever steps up. Generally this doesn't take a great deal of time, but it is important to be diligent and accurate.
      Joe has also maintained the Members in Good Standing roster and was diligent in sending out renewal letters each year.
   2. Elections
      President and Secretary shall be elected in odd (2021) numbered years
      Members at large of the Executive Committee shall serve for one year
      Nominations shall be conducted at the January meeting of the members.
      The Executive Committee shall nominate a slate of all expiring officers’ positions and the three member at large positions.
      Any member may run for office or member at large by submitting their name in writing to the Executive Committee at prior to the January membership meeting.
      All candidates shall be members in good standing at the nomination meeting.
      The Executive Committee's slate of candidates and a list of all other candidates shall be distributed to the membership using any electronic or physical means as appropriate at least fifteen (15) days prior to the election date.
   3. If YOU are interested in joining the Executive Committee as President, Secretary or Treasurer, or as a member at large, we encourage you to step and join the fun. Submit your nomination via email to: info@mendodems.org

8. Main Event

1. The next cycle has begun. What are your ideas for IMDC activities leading up to the 2022 cycle?
   These ideas were brought up at the last meeting. Please consider how you can contribute to them and provide some of your own ideas for making the IMDC a Democratic presence in Mendocino.

• • Mobile HQ
    We talked about using the van to make monthly trips around the county to recruit members
  • Support local activist groups
    Jackie has been in touch with local charities who are helping DACA people. IMDC could support these organizations rather than trying to create something on our own.
    Fund people who are applying for citizenship
  • Outreach
    High School/Mendo College
    Latino Community - forming a Democratic Club
    Native American community
  • Future meetings
    Fred would like to have one of our elected representatives attend every IMDC meeting. Do you know of anyone who would like to speak at a meeting about topics that are relevant to our political life - environment, justice equality, homelessness, COVID, etc.
  • Homeless
    We talked about the proposal to create a homeless shelter out of the old Best Western Motel.
