  5. Chair\u2019s Report <\/a> <\/b>Fred made a mistake and offered the candidates that responded $350 instead of $250 as we had voted.\u00a0 Mari Rodin declined and Fred sent $350 to the remaining 3 candidates.\u00a0 Move to offer all the endorsed candidates who so choose to accept $350.

      1. Report on donations to endorsed candidates' campaign - SENT to 3 candidates, Orozco, Sher & Sookne.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      2. MHQ Project Review - tabled until next month.\n

            Time to think about what went right and what can be improved, is it worth doing again, and other ideas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          2. Pumkinfest and other events - need to have a list of every event.\u00a0 Scott will volunteer to contact Slam Dunk Pizza about an election night party.<\/strong>\u00a0 Steve has a big screen.\u00a0 Must happen soon before Oct 24.\u00a0 Will send out notice by email.\u00a0 The City has a calendar of events.\u00a0 Scott will put together a list of events.<\/strong><\/li>\n
          3. Executive Committee Elections - By Laws <\/a><\/b>\n

            1. Vice-President<\/strong> and Treasurer<\/strong> shall be elected in even numbered years.<\/li>\n
            2. The Executive Committee shall nominate a slate of all expiring officers\u2019 positions and the three member at large positions.<\/li>\n
            3. Any member may run for office or member at large by submitting their name in writing to the Executive Committee at least thirty (30) days prior<\/em> to the January membership meeting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            4. The Executive Committee's slate of candidates and a list of all other candidates shall be distributed to the membership using any electronic or physical means as appropriate at least fifteen (15) days prior<\/em> to the election date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n

Kayla might want to be the new liaison but will be absent for a few months due to her medical condition.\u00a0 Judy can replace Jim as the liaison to the Central Committee.\u00a0 Judy might want to also be a member at large on the Executive Committee.\u00a0 Helen will head up the elections ad hoc committee.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

            8. WHO ARE WE?\n

              1. Consider Club meetings - We agreed to consider how many people show up to our election night party and then decide if we should resume have physical meetings.<\/li>\n
              2. Continue Zooming?\u00a0 Many are still concerned with the COVID virus and would rather Zoom.\u00a0 Others suspect that there might be more participation if we had physical meetings also.<\/li>\n
              3. In person - find a venue.\u00a0 Scott will talk to Slam Dunk Pizza about an election night party as the first step.<\/li>\n
              4. Program - continue forum style with guest speakers? Helen has done an excellent job finding speakers for our monthly meetings and she plans to continue.<\/li>\n
              5. Add a business segment to the monthly meetings?<\/li>\n
              6. Consider becoming an ACTIVIST organization.\u00a0 Robin has given up on LTE, letters and phone calls to our elected officials, and online petitions.\u00a0 She believes that non-violent direct action is the only thing that works to convince our elected officials to vote for what we want.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
