Elected Officers<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">e) In addition to these four officers, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">five (5) Members at Large<\/span> shall be elected to the Executive Committee.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 2. Description of Duties<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">e) Member at large<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">i. Members at Large attend all Executive Committee meetings<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">ii. Each member at large has one vote on all decisions of the Executive Committee.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: 14pt;\">iii. Each Member at Large shall chair a Standing Committee.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 5. Nominations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a) Nominations shall be conducted at the January meeting of the members.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b) The Executive Committee shall nominate a slate of all expiring officers\u2019 positions and the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">five (5) Member at Large positions.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">ARTICLE VI - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 1. The Executive Committee shall be comprised of all elected officers and five (5) elected Members at Large. Each member of the Executive Committee shall be eligible to vote on Executive Committee decisions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 2. Unless otherwise noted in these by laws, all organizational powers shall be exercised by or under the authority of, and the business and affairs of this organization shall be controlled by the Executive Committee.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 3. Regular meetings of the Executive Committee shall be held at least once each quarter.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a) The Executive Committee shall identify the location and regular date and time for such meetings<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b) Executive members shall be notified at least fifteen (15) days prior<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> to any meeting that is to be held on a date or time different from the regularly scheduled Executive Committee meeting.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-12153-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Proposed Standing Committee Policy 12-25<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">ARTICLE VII - COMMITTEES<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 1. The Executive Committee shall establish committees it deems necessary to achieve organizational objectives.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a) Ad hoc committees shall be appointed as needed for a specific purpose and shall cease upon completion of the appointed purpose.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b) Standing Committee terms shall be one year and may be renewed each year on their anniversary.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">c) Standing Committee chairs shall report on the committee's activity at each membership meeting.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Section 2. The Chairpersons of committees may appoint committee members, set committee goals in coordination with the Executive Committee members, and shall direct the activities of the committee to achieve such goals.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Appendix C<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Standing Committees<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">(See: ARTICLE IV OFFICERS: Section 2. Description of Duties &amp;&nbsp; ARTICLE VII COMMITTEES)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I. BY LAW STANDING COMMITTEE CHARTERS<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Three standing committees and their chairs are specified in the by-laws.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A. Executive Committee \u2013 Chair: President<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">B. Membership Committee \u2013 Chair: Secretary<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C. Finance\/Audit Committee \u2013 Chair: Treasurer<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">II. OTHER STANDING COMMITTEES CHARTERS<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Committee chairs can work Volunteer Coordinator to enlist committee members.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A. `Volunteer Committee<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Our members comprise a powerful volunteer pool. Fielding volunteers for club events and activities requires a coordinated effort working with events team and members to assure we have sufficient resources to be successful in our various activities.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The primary goal of this committee is to maintain and manage a vibrant volunteer member pool.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Coordinator assures IMDC has a vibrant, active, and enthusiastic volunteer cadre<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Enlists member volunteers to provide resources for club events and committees<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Develops and manages tools and techniques to facility A.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4. Maintains the Membership Opportunity table<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">5. Acknowledges volunteer participation \u2013 \u201cthank you\u201d s.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">6. Develops volunteer guides so training is reusable and consistent<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">B. Community Outreach Committee<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">To be a significant force in Mendocino politics, we need to be recognized as an active participant in civic affairs and establish a reputation of acting on our progressive ideals and beliefs.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Outreach Chair maintains a schedule of community events and activities to provide our members with opportunities to establish IMDC in the public mind..<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Works with Volunteer Coordinator to enlist member volunteers<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Assists volunteers in participating in these activities<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4. Works with Volunteer Coordinator to staff fair booths<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">5. Develops an Outreach Program to carry forward the committee work<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">6. Produces monthly newsletter<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C. Elections Committee<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Electing candidates that support our primary goal is also our primary mission.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Elections Chair remit is all of the elected offices in the county.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Ideally enlists an IMDC candidate for all of them<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a. Needs MANY volunteers to help<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Review and recommend participation in state and federal campaigns<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4. Monitors MOBILIZE and notifies interested volunteers of available opportunities<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">5. Organizes post-carding, canvassing and other election related events<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">6. Manages the endorsement process<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">D. Voter Registration Committee<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">E. Electeds Liaison<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Establish relationship with County Board of Supervisors, City Council Members, State Assembly Members and State Senator.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Rep[orts activity of electeds to Executive Committee.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Provides monthly report to Newsletter editor<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4. Convey\u2019s IMDC perspective, concerns and recommendations regarding important issues to our electeds.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">F. Events Committee (VP?)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Manage onthly club meetings program consists of a featured speaker, panel or forum that discusses issues that are important to our members, generally of a local nature.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">1. Discovers and evaluates important issues of the day<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2. Searches out and engages speakers who have expertise in the subjects that are to be featured at club meetings<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">3. Works with Volunteer Committee to staff fair booths<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">4. Extends the monthly club program to include other formats such as members only sit-down dinner fund raiser, member recruitment<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">5.
