If IMDC suggests to a Supervisor that the club supports a particular position, a ho-hum response is likely, but if our club represents 2000 active voters, the response would be quite different.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">2000 voters is just a bit short of 10% of registered Democratic voters in Inland Mendocino, and about 25% of voting Dems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">IMDC has about 120 members in good standing. Clearly an insignificant number of votes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I believe that it is reasonable to assume that if people are interested enough to invest in voting, that they are very likely interested in participating more fully in the democratic process \u2013 that is join our club.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>What would it take to launch a membership drive to enroll 2000 members before the 2026 genreal?<br \/>\nTwo important conditions: a dedicated team and funding.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 20px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I want to hold a Democratic Summit to consider the following proposal and enlist your knowledge, skills and energy to form an effective membership drive team with people at this meeting. \"It's about time\" (JM)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you are interested in attending this summit, please reply to this email with a day and time in the second week in November that you would be able to attend.
