Last month I included a proposed plan for 2025: Click Here<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

I have been President of IMDC for at least 5 years. I believe my best contribution to the club is the web site. Not so much as a go-to site, but the Document System that gives us a repository for the club's vital documents. We have established a member meeting approach with our informational forums, although the attendance has been uneven, and mostly sparse.<\/span><\/p>\n

The membership numbers are about the same over the past 5 years, but participation in club activities is rather disappointing. I remember Joe saying that people only get excited about politics during the run-up to elections, so I guess the low level of interest is to be expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mobile HQ was an interesting experiment, but I don't think it was such a great success without the Big Ass Van, and Joe running it. Perhaps deploying MHQ under our pop-up gazebo and having several people staffing it might work better.<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe my strong suits fall into the technical sphere, and I have little skill or knowledge of political\/activist organizing or operations. As Vice President, I fell into the office when Tony Melville resigned. Over a five year run, my two most significant efforts have been a limited success.  I believe that the club really needs someone with some new ideas, but as long as my name is on the ballot, no one is likely to run to replace me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, after a great deal of thought, I have decided to not run for president this year..<\/span><\/p>\n
