      1. Approved action item from CA Nurses Association to send a letter to Mia Bonta in support of AB2200<\/a>.<\/strong> It was too late for that committee, so the address was changed to Buffy Wicks, Chair of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, and it was submitted into the official CA Legislative Position Statement portal.  Unfortunately, most of the pro-health care reform Democrats on the Committee abstained to vote, and it died before reaching the Assembly Floor. <\/li>\n
      2. May  Speaker - Essence Roberson spoke on experience starting a business in Ukiah and dealing with Ukiah bureaucracy. <\/strong> A general discussion ensued. No action necessary.

      3. Tekla will facilitate post card writing during our the next Executive Team meeting for the candidate who is replacing Katy Porter. (but Tekla won't be here.) - <\/strong>Tekla handed out 4 packets of post cards at the last meeting.  She will bring more to our next general monthly meeting.

      4. Campaign 2024 - Tekla's update on the Democratic fundraiser planned for June 23, The Wine and Chocolate Pairing.<\/em><\/strong>\n

        1. There will be a well-known jazz pianist and a singer<\/li>\n
        2. The QR code for ActBlue to buy tickets and purchase sponsored ads in Jim's memory book will be embedded in the flyer, which will be ready May 23. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        3. Fred will meet with Juan Orozco to discuss Latino Dem Club. TBD<\/li>\n
        4. Tekla's Endorsement notes - Tekla had to leave the meeting early. Fred had emailed us her notes.  The only big change suggested is to make a voting quorum based on MIGS rather than whoever shows up to vote.  To be further discussed next month. <\/li>\n
        5. Did anyone attend Youth Power Summit?  No, none of us. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
